a workflow that works for me

Inspired by NEXT and a friend of mine, I've decided to keep things off my desktop (apprently it also increases performance). I have a clean desktop, and a right based dock – used to have it on the left, but now the trash can is 'where it should be' again. Now, in going 'desktopless', I've inadvertently found a reasonable use for 2 features that I have always wanted a use for, but never had: Smart Folders and Labels.

I use them as a workflow to get stuff done, a quick, scalable, and almost brain-dead todo list. I've tried many products both online and desktop based in an attempt to organize my life. Remember the Milk, Things, Anxiety, Check-Off, Today, iCal, Google Calendar, etc. None of them have stuck for one reason or several, and I've actually really enjoyed using almost all of them. This isn't a software limitation, and I'm saying that one or more of them won't work for everyone else besides me. Most are beautiful, have great interfaces, and work very fluidly ...
